Your content and rights

This page explains ownership, commercial use, privacy, and file retention for your Flick projects.

In short: As between you and Flick, you own your uploads and generated output. Paid plans include commercial use. Flick does not use your content to train general models. You control project sharing and publishing. Files remain available while your account is active; contact us if you need a defined retention period.

Who owns your work

You keep ownership of everything you provide to Flick: prompts, reference images, video and audio. As between you and Flick, you own the output you generate from it.

Commercial use is included on every paid plan. There is no separate commercial license, no extra fee, and no restriction specific to advertising or broadcast use.

Exports on Free and Casual plans include a Flick watermark. Standard and higher plans offer watermark-free exports, including new exports of earlier work.

How we use your content

We do not use your content to train or improve our models. Your uploads, prompts and generated output are not training data.

If you create a custom style reference, Flick uses the images you provide to fit a private style for your account. It is used only for your generations, not for a shared or general model.

We do scan content for policy violations, and we use aggregated usage data that does not identify you to understand how features perform.

Who processes your content

Flick uses some models from other companies. The model picker identifies the selected model. Your prompt and reference files are sent to that model's infrastructure to run the generation, without your account details.

Our providers are established AI infrastructure companies with published security and privacy programs. Across the set these include independent security audits such as SOC 2, GDPR data processing terms with Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers, and limited default retention for generation data. Your finished results are stored on Flick's own storage rather than left with the provider.

We are formalizing data processing agreements with our providers, covering confidentiality, retention and use of your content. If your legal or security review needs the named list of processors, or the current terms with a specific provider, write to contact@flick.art and we will share it as part of your vendor review.

How long we keep your files

Flick keeps your uploads, prompts, and generated output while your account is active so you can return to your projects.

• You can clear things yourself. Remove projects and assets from your workspace at any time.
• You can ask us to delete everything. Request deletion of your account and its data at contact@flick.art.
• Request a fixed retention period. Contact us if a client requires a retention period or deletion timeline. This is available on any plan.

What is private, and what is not

Projects are private by default. Other people can access them when you share the project or publish it.

Check these settings before sharing client work:

• Team workspaces. New projects start Private. Set a project to Shared to let workspace members open and edit it.
• Publishing a film. Publishing shares the film's canvas workflow, including your prompts, alongside the film itself. You can turn that off in the export dialog before you publish.

We do not use private work in our own marketing. Only work you have chosen to make public can appear there.

I am a freelancer or agency. Can I use Flick for paid client work? Yes, on any paid plan. You own the output and commercial use is included. Use Standard or above so your exports are not watermarked.

Does Flick use my client's footage to train models? Flick does not use it to train general models. If you create a custom style, the images you provide are used only for that private style.

My client requires files to be deleted within a set period. Can you do that? Yes. Contact us and we will arrange it. It is not gated to a particular plan.

Will my work show up in Flick's marketing or on the public feed? Only if you publish it yourself. Private work stays private, and we do not use it in marketing without your consent.

How do I hide a project from teammates? Set it to Private. New team projects start Private; Shared projects are visible to workspace members.
