Edit Image
Edit an existing image when you want to change a detail, combine images, or try another style. State what to change and what to keep, then check both in the result.
What you can do
Flick supports several editing workflows:
- Combining multiple images
- Maintaining character consistency
- Editing specific parts of an image
Edit with a prompt
- Select the image node.
- In the chat box, describe the change and say what must stay the same.
- Send. The result appears on the canvas as a new image node.
Example:
“Change the girl's hair color to white.”
Change the visual style
To change the look of an image while keeping its content:
- Click the Change Style Node
- The chat switches to Change Style Mode
- Select a new visual style
After the style change, check that the character and camera angle still match.
Best practices
Name the change, not the picture.
Weak: "make it better."
Better: "change the raincoat to red; keep everything else."
Change one main thing per pass. This makes unwanted changes easier to trace.
Say what must stay. The model does not know what you consider fixed.
Weak: "put her in a cafe."
Better: "same character, same framing, replace the station with a cafe interior."
Review the result
- Only the thing you named changed.
- The character's face and build still match the source.
- Lighting still makes sense after the edit.
- Edges, hands, and any text survived the edit.
If something looks wrong
The whole image changed. Say "keep" explicitly and make one edit at a time.
The character's face drifted. Use a character reference alongside the edit; see AI character consistency: 5 methods compared.
The edit was ignored. The request may conflict with the pinned style or the reference. Simplify the instruction and try once more.

- Keep a character consistent across three shots for a sequence of edited shots.
