Flickpedia Guidelines
Flickpedia is a free library of references and learning resources. Browse over 1.5 million images, visual styles, film stills, sound effects, templates, tutorials, and blogs. Add references to your project as you find them.
Browse at flick.art/flickpedia or open Flickpedia from a project's top bar. You do not need an account to browse. Sign in to save items or add them to a project.
Finding your way around
Flickpedia opens on Explore, a landing page of free assets for any project:

Use the search bar at the top. On Explore, choose the section to search. Within a section, search stays in that section.
Searching Image Inspo
Search Image Inspo by description, color, or image:
- By words. Describe the subject and look. Try "brutalist concrete stairwell" instead of "building".
- By color. Open Color Search with the color wheel button. Choose up to two colors or enter a hex code.
- By image. Upload a picture or click Find similar on an open image. Browse the results and step back through previous searches.
The Fashion, Photography, Art, and Architecture chips narrow results to a category. Opening an image shows it full size with its credit and a Source link to the original page.
Classic Film Scenes
Search stills from cinema history by mood, style, color, director, anything: try “Wes Anderson symmetrical compositions”. Typing a title also suggests matching films, with poster, year, and director; open one to browse all of its scenes.
Every scene opens with a written description and a technique breakdown: shot type, composition, lighting, camera angle, lens, color palette, mood, and more. Heart a scene to keep it in My Favorites.
Visual Styles
Browse by category: cinematic, cartoon, anime, drawing, illustration, painting, or 3D. Search by name, description, or tag, and sort by Latest or Recommended.
Open a style to preview it. From a project, set it as the default style or add its reference image to the canvas. Use Create My Style to build your own.
Sound Effects and Workflow Templates
Search sound effects and press play to preview them. Add the ones you need to the canvas.
Preview a community workflow, click Apply template to use it, or select Watch this film to see the result.
Using what you find
- Inside a project, use Add to Canvas for images and scenes, Add to canvas for sound effects, and Apply template for workflows. Styles apply to the project. The library closes after you add an item.
- On flick.art/flickpedia, with no project open, Image Inspo shows Add to project instead: pick one of your projects, or start a fresh one with the image already on the canvas.
- In chat, describe the references you need. The agent returns film scenes and images from Flickpedia. Select items and click Done to add them to the canvas.

FAQ
Do I need an account? Not to browse or search. Sign in when you want to keep something: favoriting a scene, saving a style, or adding an image to a project.
Where do the images come from? From curated sources. Every image carries its credit, and its detail view links back to the original page.
Can I search by a color palette? Yes. Open Color Search in Image Inspo and pick up to two colors, from the wheel or by hex code. In chat, describe the palette in words and the assistant will find matching references.
Can I find references through chat? Yes. Ask the agent for references, select items from the results, and click Done to add them to your canvas.
