Flickpedia Guidelines
Flickpedia is Flick’s free library of visual inspiration and learning material: over 1.5 million reference images, plus visual styles, classic film stills, sound effects, community workflow templates, tutorials, and blogs. You browse it for ideas, then pull what you find straight into your project.
The short version: everything in Flickpedia is free to browse, no account needed. Find it at flick.art/flickpedia, or open it from the Flickpedia button in the top bar of any project. Signing in is only needed when you save something.
Finding your way around
Flickpedia opens on Explore, a landing page of free assets for any project:

| Section | What’s inside |
|---|---|
| Image Inspo | 1.5M+ curated reference images: photography, art, fashion, architecture |
| Visual Styles | Ready-made looks for every shot, applicable to a whole project |
| Classic Film Scenes | Stills from cinema history, searchable by mood, style, or director |
| Sound Effects | Foley, ambience, and hits, with instant preview |
| Workflow Templates | Community canvases you can apply to your own project |
| Tutorials | A learning path for Flick: start here, features, craft & technique |
| Blogs | Guides and essays |
The search bar is always at the top. From Explore, type anything and choose which section to search in; inside a section, it searches that section directly.
Searching Image Inspo
Image Inspo understands meaning, not just keywords. Three ways in:

- By words. Describe what you are after, as specifically as you like: “brutalist concrete stairwell” works better than “building”. Search matches both what is in the image and how it looks.
- By color. The color wheel button opens Color Search: pick one or two colors from the wheel, or type a hex code, and get images that live in that palette.

- By image. Upload or drop in a picture to find visually similar ones, or click Find similar on any image you have opened. You can chain these and step back through your trail.
The Fashion, Photography, Art, and Architecture chips narrow results to a category. Opening an image shows it full size with its credit and a Source link to the original page.
Classic Film Scenes
Search stills from cinema history by mood, style, color, director, anything: try “Wes Anderson symmetrical compositions”. Typing a title also suggests matching films, with poster, year, and director; open one to browse all of its scenes.

Every scene opens with a written description and a technique breakdown: shot type, composition, lighting, camera angle, lens, color palette, mood, and more. Heart a scene to keep it in My Favorites.
Visual Styles
Browse looks by category (cinematic, cartoon, anime, drawing, illustration, painting, 3D) or search by name, description, or tag, sorted by Latest or Recommended. Open a style to see it in detail; from a project you can set it as the project’s default style or add its reference image to your canvas. Create My Style lets you build your own, and saved styles stay one click away.

Sound Effects and Workflow Templates
Sound effects are searchable and preview inline: hit play, and if it fits, add it to your canvas. Workflow templates are real community canvases: preview one, Apply template to start from it, or Watch this film to see what it produced.

Using what you find
- Inside a project, everything is one click away: Add to Canvas on images and scenes, Add to canvas on sound effects, Apply template on workflows, and styles apply to the project directly. The library closes as you add, so you see the new node land on your canvas.
- On flick.art/flickpedia, with no project open, Image Inspo shows Add to project instead: pick one of your projects, or start a fresh one with the image already on the canvas.
- In chat, just ask. Describe the references you want and the assistant searches Flickpedia for you, returning a card of film scenes and image inspo. Tap the ones you like, click Done, and they arrive on your canvas together.

FAQ
Do I need an account? Not to browse or search. Sign in when you want to keep something: favoriting a scene, saving a style, or adding an image to a project.
Where do the images come from? From curated sources. Every image carries its credit, and its detail view links back to the original page.
Can I search by a color palette? Yes. Open Color Search in Image Inspo and pick up to two colors, from the wheel or by hex code. In chat, describe the palette in words and the assistant will find matching references.
What is the fastest way from inspiration to canvas? Ask in chat. The assistant searches Flickpedia and hands you a card of results; pick your references and click Done, and they are added to your canvas in one go.
