The character changed between shots

If a character's face, hair, or clothes change between shots, check these causes.

No reference was attached

A text prompt is not enough for reliable visual consistency. Attach the character's reference sheet to each generation. See Character Reference.

The reference is weak

Use a clear front view rather than a small, dark, or turned-away face. A three-view sheet and a separate close-up give the model more detail.

The prompt re-described the face

Repeatedly describing visible features can introduce conflicting instructions. Try: "Keep the facial identity from the provided reference." This guides the model but does not guarantee a match. See Nano Banana.

The shots used different models or styles

Use the same image model and pinned visual style across the scene. Changing either can affect the character's appearance.

Motion added drift

A character can change during motion, especially in a long clip or large head turn. Try a shorter clip or smaller movement, and check the ending.

Check it fast

Compare shots side by side. Check the face, hair, and costume. Fix the first mismatch before generating more shots.
